Traffic regulation

Since NetAnts is always hungry for bandwidth, it makes other network programs such as browsers hard to work when NetAnts is running. To prevent this, NetAnts introduced the concept of traffic regulation.

There're 3 modes of traffic regulation in NetAnts.

• Unlimited: No traffic regulation. NetAnts can use as much bandwidth as it needs.
• Manual: Bandwidth for NetAnts is controlled by the user by using a slidebar on the status bar (lower-right corner of the window).
• Automatic: NetAnts monitors activity of outbound connections, and spare a certain amount of bandwidth to each new connction.

The total bandwidth and bandwidth to give to other connections are defined on the Connection tab of the options dialog.
